i am using sh3 commander with the sh3 commander gwx fixed cfg files, i was at TC at 4096 and it slowed down to TC 1 and jus went KApute , well considering i was running about 10 other programs in background, msn , bitcomet, ares, limewire, teamspeak, and a HD defrager, im guessing game engine is messed cuz my system can handle easily 2 instances of SH3 running at same time.
