Being nosy I went to the harbour of Langyearsby north of norway yesterday in mid 1940.
Guys, if you are in need of tonnage GO THERE! I found a large freighter, a whaler, a coastal tanker and an old ocean liner in that harbour. All norwegian, hostile, unarmed and unguarded.
