I usually play with lights off, can see better when there is a dark spot in the game. But even with a subwoofer, I doubt I would be scared. After the two first Halloween movies, I´ve yet to see a game/movie that scares me big time! F.E.A.R., The Ring and the Silent Hill series (NOT THE MOVIE, YUK!!!) came close.
