First thing I notice is speed of boat is different on a VIIB type.
By nice weather and calm sea I get :
Ahead slow 5 kts
Ahead 1/3 10 kts
Ahead standard 14 Kts
which is faster than what I was used to... but the autonomy seems to match for the same speeds.
My navigator gives me over 14.000 km for running 10 knts at ahead 1/3, which is the same as in NYGM by 10 kts, except I am on ahead standard instead of 1/3...
Also submerged ahead slow is 3 knots vs 2 knts in NYGM...
Will have to get used to it when jumping from one install to the other..

This is described in NYGM documentaion. GWX numbers are closer to stock SH3 (not sure if they're modified or not) Personally I like NYGM telegraph better, tho maybe I'm adopted now.
For thread title, those two super mods are the result of very hard works. I can't simply say which is "better" if to think about how much work was involved. One thing I can tell you is that both are made on slightly different philosophies, and that is sometimes
too important for some people, resulting in disagreements and thus separate products.
