If you read the manual
or the F1 key in-game help sections we've added, you will find that anything outside of the Kriegsmarine Grid system is not recognized in some ways by the SH3 engine. You will get renown for sinking ships and for returning to base... you will not get renown for reaching a patrol zone (as we have mapped out on your F5 screen.)
We would have loved to fix this issue, but the KM grid system is hard-coded. We decided to not let this matter limit us or players.
