I have many good things to say about GWX expansion and most of it have allready been writen in this thread but its also time to do some minor criticism as well.
Strange sounds: I got into a loop of a creak sound when i was diving deep. It repeated/hung the sound and keept going untill i reached next level of creak sound.
Think it was the step between 3 and 4. I havent been able to reproduce it more than 2 times and it seam to be random.
There was also a few sounds i didnt like but its all about my own liking so i changed some of them. Torpedo explosion, diesel engine extern.
Light on neutral ships: Its nearly impossible to se the flag they are sailing under cuz of thos 2 lights that shine on the flag during the night. Only viable info i can get that it is a neutral ship is that it is lighted.
Silent running: Well i havent noticed any differnce between going at flank speed or sneaking at 2-3 knots in silent running. The Destroyers spot me and find me no matter what i do and they never loose track of me. It remind me of the early game when it was released whit thos Uber elite destroyers that it was impossible to get rid of.
I had a destroyer after me. he spotted me from 2,5 km away while i was going at 3 knots at periscope depth.
I was in quite shallow water, dived down to 150 meters, close to bottom.
He was impossible to get rid of.
I found some deeper water after some hour and dived down to 250 meters. And he never loost contact whit me.
It ended up whit that i had 5% battery left and i guess he must have dropped about 500 wasserbombs on me and i dived deeper, and i went to deep so my sub crusched.
This hunt lasted for about 3 hours real time.
I was quite pissed that a destroyer from early war time have this behaviour. So i adjusted the AI sensor dat file a bit to my liking.
Other things ive changed is the damage explosion texture on a torpedo impact.
I wanted to se a hole not some dust on the side of the ship

. But this is an ongoing project iam experiment whit.
I have also made a new seafloor sand in 512 and this was also a little project i had going so i would have changed that anyway
But i guess we all have different ways what we like and dont like. I just found the AI sensors to be a little bit to though for my playstyle. And i also tuned down the Aircraft.cfg a bit.
Overall i just love this mod and all its features.
So for me it will get an 8.5 out of 10.
