Ha! Take that cost cutting morons at the DoD! The Navy's small fleet of minesweepers perform an essential role, made all the more obvious by Saddam Hussiens only real naval move against the US during the 2003 war-clandestine laying of mines. Yes, the ships are small and the job is far from flashy and glamorous but they are important and crucial to the US Navy's ability to take the fight to the enemy.
