No.. but I think he had someone nammed Bernard doing TMA for him.
I have another story that's too funny and must be told regardless of the fact that it was in Silent Hunter III and not Dangerous Waters..
It was my first career mission ever...
The sub is parked at the dock... there is a marching band playing, people are waving.... ladies are tossing flowers.... I decide to give the order "Ahead 1/3"... unfortunately.. there was a tiny bit of lag and what I clicked on was "Reverse 1/3" SInce I had immediately switched to the navigation station, I didn't notice the direction I was going because I was trying to plot off a quick course, planning to switch back to steer out of port. Then I hear "BAM !!" The sub had reversed right into the dock. Imagineing the shocked faces of the crowd assembled to see me off, I set the propper "Ahead 1/3".. but the collision had knocked the sub slightly sideways and as we drove forward... we hit the side of the wall and went scraping dowin it making a loud "BAM !!! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE !!!" fingernails/metal accross a chalkboard sound.
By this time.. the band probably had stopped playing and the rest of the crowd were probably cringing and covering their eyes or ears.
We finally pulled free of the dock after a good minute of scraping down the side. Then I "expertly" guided the sub out of the shipyard and set a course north at standard speed... 5 minutes later.. the sub slammed into a shallow area (Quite a way off shore I might add.. probably a sand bar), got torn open and sunk with all hands aboard.
WHOOPS !!!
