I keep their butts on duty all the time
I tell them like it or go find another boat to join. Of course I say this when we are out in the middle of the Atlantic! Anyway, as they gain experience they do not get tired as quickly. Also, yes heavy weather does drain the boys a little faster that smooth sailing.
