Eventually you will get better AA flaks (and two of them), and some sensors upgrades. Also, most importantly, Bold sonar decoys. Sorry, no snorkel.
Pretty much ideal for harbours and quite safe when depth charged. Veru vunerable when surfaced. But don't go too deep. IIRC its 125 m. max depth.
In one of my careers I kept the IID for 16 missions.
In GWX (Grey Wolves Expansion) you will have the chance to play a career in the Black Sea and sink some Russian tonnage, for a change.
