OK, so I leave La Spezia in late 1941. I head for Tobruk, and upon entering the harbour discover that it's under attack from about half a dozen Ju-88s! Unfortunately, they either do not carry bombs or have already dropped them, as all they do is fire their gun turrets at the ships below. Nevertheless, I love it whenever I see German aircraft.
Next off, after having sunk three ships and damaged a destroyer in Tobruk harbour, I head for the Suez Canal. I want to see if it's as detailed as the one running through Denmark. I never reach it, though: As I near Port Said (the harbour right west of the northern canal entrance), my hydrophones pick up
four warship contacts on patrol outside the city

. They spot me, attack me, and force me to head home, with batteries almost depleted and hull integrity reduced to about 50%. Which begs the question:
What the Heck is Port Said hiding? I'm definetly going back there next patrol!
And I thought the Mediterranean was boring. When did it get so much fun?
