I don't understand why you guys have so much trouble with TASMs and I don't. I've never had a whole salvo of missiles go after one cloud of chaff. They don't always go after the target of my choice, but a single cloud of chaff? Come on! It strikes me as unlikely. Something must be going on.
I'm not saying torpedoes are a bad thing. Personally, I like to use them in combination, making a strike with TASMs (16 missiles), a strike with Harpoons (4 missiles), then finally closing and attacking with torpedoes. Between them all, I can usuallly widdle down a whole battle group (provided ASW helos don't figure me out

). All targets are more vulnerable to torpedoes, provided you can get close enough, because you can't shoot them down. You'll never hear anyone saying they need to shoot 12 or 16 of them just to score a kill. I can't help but wonder if you're employing them in the most effective way possible.
