I dont know. If the plane is assigned to ASW, dont you think that they would use blue instead of grey? Im not saying that is correct but it does make more sense with the blue/green than the grey/green.

Maybe someone can give me some clarification here.
It probably would have made more sense to be blue, but Coastal Command didn't seem to see it that way

Ju88 is correct that early war coastal command aircraft were usually painted in normal bomber camo. However late in 1942 they adopted a new colour scheme, which they used on the Whitleys that were on ASW duties. Have just seen an illustration of one which closely resembles Ju88's scheme i.e.just the top of fuselage camo'd. Only difference being that they a used a light grey instead of the blue. Don't have a scanner so I can't put up a piccy The sides seemed to be white.

I sort of assumed Ju 88 knew this already as he had used the top surface/white sides camouflage rather than the " down to wingroot" brown and green standard bomber colours.

Hope you don't think I'm being too picky! It's a great model and I'd be happy to get it whatever colour it was painted.......except pink!!!!

***** On second thoughts, think CC got it right.....just tried to remember where they could have flown over blue water !!!
