The only thing wrong with accoustic torps are you target a ship doing 9knts and fire if for some reason the ship slows down to say 3knt the torps will miss.I had this done to me Targeted a Tanker doing 9 knts and she slowed down to 3-4knts the torpedo missed and searched for a louder noise.
