Actually I jest. I rather like the sound quality of a lot of BOSE products...I just wish that:
1. They weren't so expensive.
2. They wouldn't exclusively rely on paper tweeters.

BOSE is OK if space is an issue, but I wouldn't buy them for a real sound system. The highs on BOSE are fake and non life like, with an almost harsh sound of something overdone. B & W, preferably the Nautilus series is wheres its at. Of course, that is comparing apples the oranges - Sub $1000, to many $1000's!
Just my 2 cents on the subject.

PS. Forgot the subject was about headphones though - can't say I've tried them, but I've never gone out of my way to try any BOSE product since they don't sound very good to me. Not saying BOSE sounds bad bad, just not good. Of course, the headphones could be different.
PPS. Paper is the ultimate speaker material since it can produce a near perfect wavelength of requested sound. Only problem is its ability to warp - so companies like B & W have been trying to get rigid paper speakers into all their product lines. The result these days is paper speakers infused with Kevlar to make them rigid.
