From Russia With Love was also quite good.
Goldfinger started to wander a bit (and add gadgets), but was still pretty faithful. Even
Thunderball had the basic plot. After that...
I personally wish they had gone whole hog and retro-fitted this movie all the way back to the book, in 1952.
