I agree but disagree. Perhaps "cheat" was too harsh a word, but that's my perception. Yes, a real captain had weeks (not years) of training, but he also had to do it with pencil, paper and hand tools. Yes, he had the crew working with him, which is why I use the Weapons Officer. Of course, that makes it no longer 100%, and he's a little
too good at his job, but on the other hand being able to pause it to do the calculations would not be realistic, and that is supposedly the point of playing at "100%". Also, if you could pause it you would still be credited for the full 100%, and in my opinion that
is cheating.
