BTW, what does your sig mean? Do you want to say: "we've been sunk by a lorry" or "we have sunk a lorry"?

If you use SHIII Commander, you can promote crew up several grades as long as you stay within the requirements. So a seaman cannot be promote higher than 100 experience points level and the WO cannot go pass the 300 points level. SHIII Commander will give you an error message if you try.

Take the 'seaman' class. The break down for promotions are as follows:

20 points
50 points
100 points

So if we take your crewmen at 43/20 as an example. We promote him one grade and he ends up at 43/50. He is good until he tops over 50 experience points then you promote him once again to X/100. Also when crew members are given medals, that also goes towards experience points.

The sig line is from the movie (I cant remember the name of it off hand) with Cary Grant where he is a captain of a US submarine which ends up being painted pink. He tries to attack a ship but misses and the torpedo ends up on the beach and blows up a truck. Cary Grant is at the periscope and then says "We sunk a truck!".

We had a discussion on this forum about my sig line and what the correct German translation is. I think this was the best we could come up with.
