Ick... Dr. Pepper....

This is how to make the perfect cuppa: Heat up a kettle of water. While the kettle is heating up, place a tea-pot filled with 1/4 cup of water in the microwave for 1 minute (this allows the pot to warm up in preparation for the leaves). When both the kettle and pot are done, pour the contents of the kettle into the pot, and drop 1 teaspoon of (loose) Assam leaves (my favorite, used in all English Breakfasts) into the full pot. Stir and let sit for EXACTLY 3 minutes. While the tea is sitting, pour about 1/4 inch (or 1 centimeter) of milk into your mug in preperation for the tea (ALWAYS put the milk in first). After 3 minutes, pour the contents of the pot into your mug through a strainer. Add about 1 teaspoon of white sugar.

There you have it! The perfect cup of tea.
