While I'm on the subject of the periscope, in the normal SH3 in using the periscope and press the tab key, it brings the ship much closer; but when I press Tab key in TGW I get what looks like a "wall of something" at 15x. What is happening here?
Anyway, back to the ship. It's a SMALL merchant. Fire 1, impact; Fire 2, impact, (now it's only a small merchant - how many torpedoes do I have to put into it) anyway, Fire 3; impact. Still the ship doesn't sink and get the credit. So I surface and approach with the intension of using the deck gun. At about 800 m I start the deck gun. I must have fired over 100 rounds.
I took a look at how many shells I had left, and went to external camers 'cause I wanted a picture of the burning ship and as I'm switching back to deck gun. I just happen to see the words "She's going down".
How come it's so different to sink a ship using TGW? If I have to wait for a half hour for my ship to sink so I get the credit in my diary for it, it doesn't make sense.

In TGW, usually I can down a small merchant in one shot. It really depends on where you hit it. The deck guns in GW are more realistic and therefore can take many more shots to down, so basically don't depend on the deck gun too much and be very selective what you shoot at. And in GW as has been mentioned on these forums many times b4, it does sometimes take much longer to sink than in the unmodded version which is more realistic. Again, it depends on where you hit it.
