I've had this Logitech MX1000 Lazer mouse since last Christmas as a gift and the pads on it are just about gone. FPS games will do that to any mouse. I'm sure others have the same problem too and don't want to fork out the cash for a new mouse. This too me is the cheaper way out.

Now if I drop and break the mouse, it's warranty is still good until Aug 2007. But I'm not going to break a mouse just for new feet. Oh no I'm not.... oooops. Dam! LOL
