Hrrm well at first glance it seems to have fixed it.

thanks. Somwhere between the driver update, game restart, and changing the aa setting through catalyst instead of the toolbar shortcut the problem went away. In fact I could probably turn it back up to 4x AA now muahahahaha <---evil laugh
