Only problem is its a catch 22. We can't withdraw because it would (one of the few things i do agree with bush on), embolden the islamic insurgent/terrorts/whatever you want to call them. They would see it as a victory and more would arguably follow. I don't like how we got there, i dont like the idea of staying, but i agree we can't go anywhere. We're F'ing stuck between a rock and a hardplace.

Your point is well taken regarding support of the troops. This is why I cannot understand any support for John Kerry from
any current of former military personell. Since April of 1971, when he testified before congress, he has had nothing but contempt for the military, to the point of calling all GIs criminal rapists and, Ghengis Khan.
