In Wazoo's tutorial (http://www.paulwasserman.net/SHIII/), the perpendicular course to target (the C2 Cargo in the Torpedo Tutorial) was measured to be 326 degrees. However, if you set your U-boat bearing to that course, won't you be behind the target since it keeps on moving forward? Shouldn't you extend your target's course line ahead (56 degrees in this case) and place your protractor on a an extended point on the line, so that you intersect the cargo?

You're right about calculating an intersection course (although its better to start ahead of the target to begin with so you dont have to catch up). But as soon as you caught up with the target you would have to set your U-boat bearing to 326 degrees again and proceed as the tutorial says.
Good hunting!
