Actually, some of the messages are changed by the mods intentionally. In order to add more realism to the game, some of the messages were modified or removed as they were seen as "unrealistic helpers", some even call them cheats.
I'm not sure of all the messages changed, but the ones you mentioned look familiar.
So it's not a bug, it's a "feature".
