In TGW Mod (I cant speak for NYGM) I inhibited the autogyro for both the DG and all Flack mounts. This was done way back in the dim dark ages of SH3 when RUB (berry) said it couldnt be done. I decided that that wasnt a good enough answer and came up with The DG/Flack Destabilized Mod v1.0. This was the first such serious successful attempt at fixing the DG/Flack mounts. Then NYGM had a look at the issue and come up with another novel way to destabilize the DG/Flack. In a thread discussing the same, a more refined result was achieved and that gave birth to the DG/Flack Destabilized Mod v1.1.
This mod is currently in GW1.1a. I suspect that GW and NYGM's DG/Flack fix is very similar since to correct the DG/Flack you have to tinker the same values. This just goes to prove that 2 different mods can come to the same end result from 2 different angle's - neither being better than the other, just slightly different. In GWX the DG/Flack Destabilized Mod have been revisited. Now before you all panic NO its not been made worse Ok! Its just been made compliant to the LRG Mod. The end user (that being you) will not realy notice any great change as far as the DG/Flack is concerned. So in a sence The DG/Flack Destabilized Mod would be at v1.2 in GWX.
The DG/Flack have come a long way since the days of SH31.0 and RUB. So much has been improved in GWX over Stock an RUB that by todays standards Stock an RUB are like comparing SH1 to SH3.
