After 1500 years of constant wars I'd say the EU is the lesser of many evils. Fortunately the "EU".
As for the banning of videoblogs, as the article says, there is a meeting on it. And the EU so far does not want to ban videblogging. Let us see what happens ON and AFTER that meeting. I'd be very surprised if it turns into actual law in the end.
