I wouldn't worry too much about Mel...with the bank he made on The Passion, he'll be back. There's already some prominent Jewish producers who said they'd work with him in the future. The lure of the almighty $$ is pretty strong.

The bottom line is that, for a while longer, the U.S. is still a free country. Mel is free to be a drunken bigot, and the rest of us are free to decide whether or not to see his movies. Why this whole episode was news past the first 24 hours of the story is beyond me, personally.
