2. The sinking of the Japanese CVE Chuyo by the USS Sailfish. The Chuyo was carrying 21 survivors from the sinking of the USS Sculpin, the Sailfish's sister ship.
3. The USS Tinosa's encounter with the Tonan Maru III.
4. The entering of Lingayen Bay by the S-38 during the Japanese invasion of the Phillippines in December, 1941.
