Well, I would do the same, but they don't go to U-Boat School. They don't get their own boat, and they don't partake in the war effort, which brings up the AI commanded boats issue. It would be nice to see someone promoted get a boat, and see their progress, or even hear about them being lost at sea. That would be a nice addition, as the moral, even your own can be affected if the guy is lost on a patrol.

I agree with that. You could stand on the bridge and yell "Das is Thomson....." or whoever your dismissed officer is as he sails by in his new boot.
