I just got my IX/D2 4 patrols ago. I'm using the type 3 tower with the heavy flak on the lower section as it was already there when I upgraded from the IX/C. Haven't seen any real bad bugs except having to put 2 gunners to the gun a couple of times... only 2 were sent there when Watch Officer gave orders to man the flakguns.
