Load times seem long, at game startup and when loading a saved game, but not enough to make me crazy. When I've got time compression at x1024 it pauses once in awhile, long enough to make me notice and wonder if a DD is about to shout
"say hello to my little friend!"
fwiw, my machine's a 3.0ghz/800fsb, with an ATI Radeon X800SE and 2gb of RAM. There are some newer graphics that my card simply can't render, but I almost never have slowdowns.
