Maybe it was the engine room, idk, it blew up
I know I shoot at the fuel tanks/bunkers on merchants all the time. As for being steam powered, coal dust will create just as large of an explosion as a patroleum fuel will. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think thats what cuased the second explosion on the Lusitania that sunk her.
