I've never been a fan of Bush, and I've long thought that Iraq was a mistake, but it's been my observation that there are a lot of Bush-haters who are just that; they would be squawling if he
hadn't gone into Iraq. Likewise if Gore had been elected, and had responded in exactly the same manner; Conservatives would be bashing him and Liberals would be defending him.
If you don't believe me, look at the Clinton "impeachment": Get past all the arguments about "lying" and such, but at the bottom it was just another witchhunt.
