Exactly. Plan around it, always.
If you do have to venture (because of damage or fuel), it's going to be one hell of a rough trip. Use very low time compression, use your batteries during the day as deep as you can get, provide as minimal profile as you possibly can to closing contacts, and don't fight it out with planes --- just hit the gas, dive, and change course.
