I'd recommend
Firefox - it's better in almost every technical and security aspect.
A d/l manager (all should work) together wie IE could also help. AFAIK IE has no problems with *.zip files, - *.rar, *7.z and most multipart things are affected.
What's the big deal having two browsers on a system?...I have 5 here in the office box
