Just to do a very small corretion. The Type VII B and C have two WC, not one. One on the bow, on the Port side just before the door to the torpedo room.It was a WC and a "wasch-roum" (Wash-room?). And a second,on the Starbord side in the galley "space" or compartment.
In Das Boot, when they are showing the boat to Lt.Werner they said that the second "bathroom" is use for food store.
