I would think that a "General Quaters/Alarm" would be sounded apon a Fire/Torp Hit..... If any Merchant Seamen could verify.......
I wanted to make this wav so as to make the Merchant seem "Alive"....  That people were running to Damaged control stations...Will continue to look into...thje delays/effects:hmm:

I remember in David Irving's book on PQ-17 that in one instance a U-Boat commnder missed with his torpedo but knew that its wake hadn't been spotted because he didn't hear the ship's alarm go off. Based on this I'd imagine that merchants used alarms just like warships.
