That was the key in my case... I just manualy deleted the offending file (no reinstall or anything like that necessary, mind you) and it worked perfectly... now I'm wondering what bussiness did the patch have checking a file that is so meaningless that I could simply delete without consecuence?
... or maybe my sub will explode with no aparent reason at the very end of the war because I lack that file
