Divide KM by 9 and then multiply by 5 to get Nautical miles.

That method is usually accurate at any speed which a ship travels at (at 30knots, your result in KM is 54KMph the actual answer is 55.5)

However this is because SHIII uses the Universal Standard definition of a Nautical Mile being 5852ft - and I have a sneaking suspicion that the WW2 German Navy used the Anglisised Nautical Mile as 6080ft.

It means that my Christina actually has a flank speed of 88 knots.....still, at this speed, the fuel consumption is awsome.
