Ain't gonna happen. Like it or not, Bush is in until January 2009.

The notion of the Imperial Presidency flies in the face of the Constitution and Federal Law. I truly believe he has broken the law with his signing statements, his warrantless wiretaps, his Total Information Awareness program and his lies about the war in Iraq. But I also believe in the legal remedies listed previously. That's why his administration is running so scared.

None of this would stand up in a court of law. Not one point.
1. Imperial presidency???
2. Signing statements??? Still in debate on whether it is being used in context as a line-item veto, or misused in case. BTW, Clinton, Bush #1, Reagan , etc. have all used signing statements to accompany legislation. I'm not so sure that it has been abused. Maybe, but then again....maybe not. This would hold no water due to precedence. And if I'm not mistaken, I believe the Congress can override the President here. But on that point, I don't know.
3. Wiretaps??? Same situation. BTW, where was your outrage when the Clinton administration wanted to impose the Clipper program which was intended to reach even further than the current administrations plans. Clinton/Gore wanted Fax machines, computers, and data servers tapped. Bush just wants to tap phone calls of people with suspected terrorist connections in calls to foreign sources. He doesn't want to listen to your obscene phone calls to your girlfriend. And at this time, it looks like the wiretaps are OK.
4. Lies about the war? Oh Boy. Again, just because Michael Moore says he lied to take us to war in his comedy called Farenheit 9/11, that doesn't make it so. But you also do know that Clinton said the same stuff about Saddam's weapons programs. John Kerry too. Need a link? Hans Blix is on record outlining Saddam's weapons development also . You indict Bush, you gotta indict the rest of these people. Not to mention German intelligence, Russian intel, British intel, CIA sources, etc. The lies thing holds no water, friend.

The American people are starting to wake up and if the Democrats win control of Congress in the mid-terms, investigations will be conducted, subpeonas will be issued and charges will be filed against Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld et al. I would much rather see these guys brought before the bar of justice and rot in prison before I would see him killed.

This is the same rubbish the DNC said during election 2004, and Bush is still the President.

The polls showed Kerry ahead just days before the election and look how it turned out. I'm not saying the Democrats are primed to lose, I'm just saying your overconfidence may also prove fruitless as has happened in the past.
