This makes no sense to me at all.

Pants replied! What he is referring to is the FACT that they had taken without consent for the first X-1 mod, and now they seem to have done the same again.

He mentioned specific things like the Hermes and I replied and asked to have this addressed but have heard nothing. I would like to find out how this happened if it is correct.

Mr Chris, what you saying is Serg states:
“This Ubisoft copyrighted material I have no authorization to modify can not be used by Ubisoft or any authorized agent of Ubisoft”
That is the legality of what you say. Even making an original skin has been made to utilize the layout of Ubisoft material.
About the only thing I think can be argued are complete ground up ships like HMS Hood, Roma and Graf Zeppelin. Ships converted from any Ubisoft ship is the property of UBI and is useable by UBI any authorized agent.
We are not talking about fairness or morality here. We are talking about what is lawful business practice.
You make your opinions heard at the cash register (That would be click to buy now) but one fact that this community is in denial over is the fact the non mod community is far bigger than ours, does not hear us, know us or cares what we do or think and will not be influenced by our whining.
Who does hear us is Ubisoft, the SH3 dev that may decide to hard code thing for tiring of hearing us cry.
That happened to CFS3. We cried so load about the horrible sim that was wide open in many ways and when all new (By freeware mods) everything was made is far superior to anything else. But, those that are willing to do that much work are a tiny segment of the CFS world and IL-2 was more successful as it may have been inferior (To the modded CFS3 it was much better than the original CFS3) but it was much easier to plug and play and not require an editing degree.
We have to realize one simple point the I hate X-1 and I am willing to destroy sub sims forever to get my way, crowd: There is a difference to “Being right” and “Having the right”. Being right could cost us future open capacity (I do not know this to be true) and diminish what we enjoy because we want to attack those that utilize mods that actually they have every (“Legal, not moral”) right to use.

We can hurt ourselves more than help if we make too much out of something we can do nothing about
