I'd like to be able to run Silent Hunter IV at full time-compression in the background. Then whenever something happens, it reverts to either pause or 1x time-compression, and this little note in the lower-right corner of your screen tells you that a ship's been spotted, your waypoints have been reached, your objectives have been finished, etc.
I like your ideas here but I have a feeling that we'll have to wait 'til at least Silent Hunter V before we get this stuff. But it's the squeaky wheel that gets the oil right?
