I had one of these 300 baud things in the mid-Eighties:
Since the handset didnīt fit into it I had to disassemble the accoustic coupler and use rubber bands to attach the handset to it. Then I had to put the whole thing under my bed sheet to get a good accoustic shielding. Good old times...
