I've seen that before in TV. On the Military Channel, they run a show about the 10 best warships of all time. They rate things like armor, speed, range, etc. If I remember right, Bismarck only got around 7th or something. Even the Nimitz CVN didn't take top honors. That went to the Iowa class BB if I remember right. When the Iowa class won, they took into consideration its entire lifespan, not just its WWII service.
