I was getting the music looping and scratchy audio problem on my Windows xp machine with software audio . I found that running the game on Windows 2000 compatibility mode cleared alot of that up.I can listen to the music and the looping problem is almost gone with the music and voices along with the scratch in the background.Good hunting!
