Everything the Democrats predicted did not happen. Start a war. It was the most peaceful time I can remember. Biden steps in. Wars started. Trump will crash the economy. Well no. The country was doing well. Biden term the markets dipped heavily from time to time. On went the predictions that never materializes.
Now, what is occuring is absolutely risky. It could accomplish what Trump is looking to do, bring manufacturing home. Enough time has been spent enriching other countries with little return. USAID included. The lunatic left would have you believe Trump woke up Monday and decided raising tariffs would be a good time. Did not consult anyone. Just thought to do it over a bowl of Cheerios. He has bankrupt companies etc. But these talking heads have not run anything but a bath.
This raise in tariffs could be successful. Companies bring home manufacturing to the USA. People work at other jobs that are not service oriented. Quality products are demanded and provided. USA becomes the industrial giant again.
But, many want to see it fail only because it's Trump. The lunatic Dems want failure because it's Trump. The status qou is ok in their book. Muddle along and hope for socialism because the rich owe them.
Of course I'm concerned but feel optimistic.

Trump inherited a good economy from Obama.
Trump did not shotgun tariffs in his first term.
Russia's first attack on Ukraine was in Trump's first term.
Tariffs could be successful if planned and targeted. Again, the shotgun approach will fail.
No, I don't wish it to fail because it's Trump. I have investments for retirement that I want to grow in value, but Trump is going about it with a hammer where finer methods are needed.
