I remember reading somewhere about "ghost fleets" that the navy has preserved (tied together floating around somewhere) that can be refitted and recommisioned if needed. (modern ships probably). being a navy man have you ever heard of ghost fleets of WWII era still existing such as the aircraft boneyards that are in the nevada (i think) desserts?
