Matrix has a major over-haul available for
Nuclear War Simulator.
If you have the sim (NWS is NOT a game) and you check for updates, plan on painting the living room while you wait for the download and install to complete.
For me, the whole operation took about 2 1/2 hours in total. My first reaction was that they reversed the left and right mouse buttons for..reasons??
I still need to dig my way through the documents, which will take about a week. But, there is something going on about "turn based play" for some of the scenarios.

Which sounds
very game-like???
The basic format is mostly the same. Hit "run" and a captioned photo (at random) pops up. And stays there, and stays there, and stays there before the main screen loads. I have plenty of spare time to ponder the Universe and my place in it, how about if we press the space bar (or something) to move along?
I run a fast (4 GHz) i3 cpu that has TWO WHOLE CORES

since almost all of my games were coded for a single core. I went into buying NWS knowing that I wasn't going to get blazing speeds, especially after the sirens go off. Some earlier updates made NWS run a little faster, but things seem to have shifted back to the pre-optimized days.
Is the update worth it? I have NO bleeping clue, at least not yet.
