Actually, it would be nice to have them play different tunes -- I think the stock game had 'Deutschland ueber Alles'? My band now plays 'Muss i' denn' (which I think was installed by the RUb mod), which I like better, but since it was the Kriegsmarine's standard 'farewell' tune, it seems a little out of place when I'm returning to port. Is there a way in the game to get the band to play different music for entering and leaving? (I suppose something simple like 'Fanfara_02' for the return to port would be too much to hope for!)
In the film of
Das Boot, the band plays a march when the boat comes home (an interesting departure from the novel, where the narrator simply comments, 'Gott sei Dank: keine Blechmusik!'), but I don't recognize the tune. Does anyone know its title, and/or whether it was the Kriegsmarine's standard 'welcome home' number?
